Loose Parts Play at Mount Rogers Primary School

The idea of children playing with Loose parts or open-ended materials is not a new one, however schools around the world are discovering how implementing this program into schools can be an Integral part of inquiry learning.

Loose parts play offer children the chance to use their imagination, explore, problem solve, create and achieve in many different ways.

At Mount Rogers Primary School we are beginning our Loose Parts Play journey in 2021 with already palpable excitement from staff and students. We are beginning with the Junior School and will roll out into the Senior Side.

We will be looking to the community to help us with this project going forward and will always be happy to accept loose parts into our new shed.
